Expenses & service vendors
Expenses are separate from stock purchases
Masanchara distinguishes between stock purchases and general business expenses. A stock purchase affects inventory and cost layers; an expense records money spent on operations, services, or other business costs.
Record an expense
- Open the expense flow.
- Select the relevant category and any associated vendor or tradesman.
- Add the amount, a description, and the date.
- Attach a receipt if needed.
- Record whether the expense is paid or still outstanding.
If a cost is still unpaid, the app can carry it as part of the outstanding payable picture rather than pretending the expense was already settled.
Tradesmen and vendor balances
You can create tradesman records and link related expense records to them. This keeps service costs separate from general category spending and gives you a dedicated view of what you owe that supplier or contractor.
Expense summary
Use the reporting and summary views to review spending by category and month. This is useful for checking the day-to-day cost pattern of the business, but it is still a merchant-facing operational view rather than a formal statutory accounting package.
