Understanding the cryptographic ledger
What the app records
Masanchara maintains a double-entry ledger for day-to-day operational changes. Sales, inventory adjustments, receivables, customer credit, supplier payments, and expenses all feed into the ledgers used by the app's reports.
The hash trail
The ledger records also include a hash-linked trail. Each new ledger entry is tied to the previous entry so the order and integrity of the sequence can be checked locally. This is valuable when you need to detect tampering or confirm that the recorded sequence has not been altered after the fact.
What it does not guarantee
The hash chain is an integrity check for the ledger itself. It is not a claim that every other Android file, external export, or device state is automatically protected. For that reason, the app still relies on verified backups and safe restore practices.
Practical use
When a balance looks wrong, review the related transaction, the ledger entries behind it, and the app's integrity checks together. The hash trail is evidence of record sequence and tampering detection, not a replacement for normal reconciliation or backup discipline.
