Plans, trial & feature locks
Every plan runs the counter
All plans include the till, receipts and barcode scanning, products and stock adjustments, simple returns, day and shift close, expenses, supervisor approvals, backups, and a ledger entry for every sale. Plans differ by how many staff accounts you get and which management screens are unlocked. Every plan runs on one device for one shop.
- Starter (up to 2 staff) — runs the counter: till, stock, day close, expenses and backups.
- Professional (up to 5 staff) — adds credit sales and statements, P&L, balance sheet and VAT, chart of accounts, FIFO / moving-average costing, stocktakes, price books and margins, supplier payables, petty cash and bank deposits, returns without a receipt, "explain this number" drill-downs and the audit log.
- Business (up to 10 staff) — adds purchase orders, batch and expiry tracking, shrinkage analytics, receivables and payables ageing, service-vendor (tradesman) bills, the cash-flow forecast, approval rules and per-staff permissions, the fraud centre, the audit centre and ledger integrity.

The free trial
A new device starts on a 5-day free trial, with no bank card needed. A banner counts down the days left and has an Upgrade button.
What a locked feature looks like
The app shows where a feature lives even when your plan doesn't include it, so you know it exists. There are three ways you'll meet a lock:
- A locked screen. Opening a screen your plan doesn't cover — for example Purchase orders on Starter or Professional — takes you to the Upgrade screen. It names the plan you need and lets you buy it or contact support.
- A locked card. Some screens are open on your plan but contain a card that isn't, such as the cash-flow card on the Reports dashboard. That card shows a lock in place of its numbers.
- A locked action. A button, switch or payment method that needs a higher plan opens an upgrade sheet when you tap it, instead of doing something.
If the app hasn't finished reading your licence yet, it lets the action through. A slow licence check never stops a sale halfway.
Roles are checked before plans: a cashier who isn't allowed to see a screen is simply not shown it, rather than being offered an upgrade.
Subscribing from the app
Only the shop owner can change the subscription. Other staff who reach the Upgrade screen are told so.
- Tap Upgrade on the banner, the Upgrade screen or a locked feature.
- Choose a plan and enter the email address for your receipt.
- Pay with EcoCash and approve the prompt on your phone, or continue to the payment page, which opens in your phone's browser so you can check the address and padlock yourself.
- The app waits for confirmation, then activates the new plan. Screens unlock straight away; you don't need to restart.
When a subscription lapses
- Grace period (after a failed payment): your data stays readable, but new transactions are paused until you renew.
- Expired: read-only. You can still view records, export data and make backups.
- Revoked: the app is blocked except for the error screen; contact support.
- Clock tampering (the device clock moved backwards): limited access is applied straight away.
None of these delete data. Backups and exports stay available in the read-only states so your records are never held hostage.
